Ashley was born on the coast of San Clemente California on the 10th February 1987. When she was 5 she began surfing prior to going to Hawaii. Her first win in a surf competition at the age six using a board she found on the outside of her home. The first time she started surfing was when she was 5 and, by age 6 she was the winner of her first contest By age 7 she had a sponsorship. Ashley was a participant in the NSSA National Championships at the age of 16. She was crowned Triple Crown Rookie in 2003. In addition, she won two National Scholastic Surfing Association Championships in addition to her Professional Surfing Tour of America title. Ashley took home the in 2010 the Pipeline Women's Pro at Hawaii. Ashley ranks 59th on the Women's Qualification Series for 2014.
