Hayley Orantia is an American actress, musician and performer. The majority of people recognize the name as Erica Goldberg, from the TV show, 'The Goldenbergs. But she is primarily a music lover. Music is the first passion that she insists on; it's something she has dabbled into when she was just 9 years old. Her first training began in the field of the field of music professionally at 12 years old. She ventured into songwriting at 13, and she was just 14 when she released her first collection of cover songs. Since then, she has never looked back. Orrantia is of Hispanic origins, but was born in the USA. She is proud of the fact that she has Hispanic roots, even though she was raised speaking English only and never lived in Mexico. She hopes to protect it through the creation of Spanish songs, and also taking classes in the Spanish language. "Hasta Verte," a track she composed in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia was a contestant on The X Factor during its inaugural season, which aired in the summer of 2011. Her YouTube video was chosen and she received four "yeses" (or votes), from the judges at the Seattle audition. The first time she was auditioning for soloist, she as well as three female vocalists were placed in the final auditions of "Hollywood Week". The group was removed from the show during the fifth live week.
